Terms and Conditions
Last updated: April 3, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the THS Peers website and related services (the “Service”). The Service is provided for the Tenafly High School community. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility and school rules
The Service is meant for current Tenafly High School students and staff participating in the peer tutoring program, using school-approved accounts where required. You must also follow the Tenafly School District and Tenafly High School rules, including the student code of conduct, acceptable use policies, and any rules your teachers or administrators give you. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a direct instruction from the school, follow the school’s instruction.
Acceptable use (especially important for minors)
- Treat others with respect. Harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, or sexual content are not allowed.
- Do not impersonate another person, staff member, or student.
- Do not share another person’s private information without permission.
- Use the Service for legitimate tutoring and school-related communication only, not for scams, spam, or illegal activity.
- Do not attempt to break into accounts, overload systems, or interfere with other users’ access.
If you see something unsafe or hurtful, tell a trusted adult or school staff member, and use reporting paths the school provides.
Academic integrity
Tutoring should help you learn. Do not use the Service to cheat on tests or assignments, or to ask tutors to do your work for you in a way your teacher would not allow. Tutors should not encourage dishonesty. When in doubt, ask your teacher what collaboration is permitted.
Accounts and moderation
You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your password private. School staff and administrators may review activity as needed to operate and supervise the program, enforce rules, and protect users. We may suspend or remove access for violations of these Terms, school policy, or law.
Content you post
You keep ownership of content you create, but you give us permission to host, display, and process it as needed to run the Service and meet school reporting needs. Do not post content you do not have the right to share.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” to support the school’s peer tutoring program. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Tutoring relationships arranged through the site are between students and the school’s program; use good judgment and follow school guidance.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, THS Peers and its operators and contributors are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum amount the law allows.
Changes
We may change these Terms. We will post updates on this page and adjust the “Last updated” date. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
